Facilities in the local town
Situated on the borders of Somerset, Devon and Dorset
All 3 counties are home to a diverse and fantastic range of locally produced foods – all there for the finding and enjoying.

Chard town is only a 4 minute drive away
At a more basic level there are several supermarkets, butchers and bakers just 4 mins away by car (10-15 mins on bike) in the local town of Chard, along with the usual selection of shops restaurants and take aways you would expect in a small town.
In addition there is a small shop located in the nearby campsite (2 min walk) where you can buy all the basics too, or there is the Tatworth post office and village shop (now a Morrisons Daily) just a 3 min drive away.
The nearest laundry is 5 mins drive away on the outskirts of Chard – unfortunately we are unable to provide a washing machine at this stage.

Fresh local milk
You don't need to know how to milk a cow to enjoy cool, fresh milk from a nearby organic herd. The Street Farm Milk Vending Shed is just up the road. We can provide you with a reusable glass bottle and you can go and fill it up - simple. Plus it saves loads of plastic recycling.

But it's' not just milk - you can select from a whole range of flavoured milk shakes, plus you can buy butter, cream, eggs, cheese, yoghurt and more, all supplied by local producers and all available from a vending machine, 24hrs a day.
Wow - we're so 21st century down here!
