We loved romping in wild woodlands, sitting round an open fire toasting marshmallows and the home from home touches in rented tent/yurt accommodation. Best of all we had it all to ourselvesas there are only one safari tent and one yurt on site! Location great for exploring Somerset and not too far from the coast. Hosts were very amenable and friendly, provided us with a welcome plate of scones and basic food supplies on arrival, even provided a volleyball net!
The shower/toilet facilities are fairly basic but as it was only our party at the site it was fine.

We stayed for two nights in the Safari tent and found it a fantastic experience all round. The campsite and amenities were lovely, the washroom perfectly clean and the owners delightful and helpful from the moment we arrived.
The site itself was lovely. Our tent opened out on a large flat field, perfect for our two-year old to enjoy safely. A wonderful piece of mixed woodland extends behind, incorporating the Yurt as the only other 'tent' on location, which is great for walking and picking up firewood from the ample storage shelters provided.
The tent itself was fully equipped with absolutely everything you need, including tea and coffee and a great woodburner that really keeps the night chill away.
The owners added lots of small touches that really make the experience special; from flowers in the portaloo (!) to milk and eggs on arrival and a coolbox with a regular supply of freeze blocks.
The location is perfect for Lyme Regis (30 mins drive) and exploring the south coast.
Overall a lovely stay, great fun and you'll leave with plenty of charming memories.

This site lived up to our expectations, there were lots of nice little touches on our arrival along with a warm and helpful welcome, which continued throughout our stay from Nigel and Liz.
The location was stunning and tranquil, perfect for us and our two dogs. We stayed in the safari tent, it was well equipped and very comfortable to say the least.
There are lots of places nearby to visit and explore, we had a really good short stay at Driftaway and are planning a return visit.
